Smart Comparator ("we", "our", or "the extension") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our browser extension.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary for the extension to function:

• Product Information: The extension reads product details (title, price, specs) from the Amazon product pages you visit ONLY when you explicitly click the "Add to Compare" button.
• Comparison Data: This product data is sent to our backend server (hosted on Cloudflare) solely for the purpose of generating the AI comparison report.

3. Data Usage

• AI Analysis: The product data is processed by Google's Gemini AI to generate comparison summaries. This data is not used to train Google's models.
• No Personal Data: We do NOT collect your name, email, address, or payment information.
• No Tracking: We do NOT track your browsing history outside of the specific Amazon product pages you choose to compare.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

Smart Comparator is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program.

• When you click links to products from our comparison report, we may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.
• This does NOT increase the price you pay.
• This revenue supports the maintenance costs of the AI servers.

5. Data Security

• All communication between the extension and our servers includes HTTPS encryption.
• Comparison results are stored temporarily to allow you to share them, but contain no personally identifiable information.
